ABOUT

Mission Statement

At Resurgence Physical Therapy, our name speaks for itself. The definition of resurgence is a rising again into life and activity. That is exactly what we do here. We offer premier one-on-one physical therapy services, provided directly by a doctor of physical therapy, for individuals looking to recover from injury, live medication/pain free, rehab pre/post surgery, and enhance their health and performance. We do this by taking a holistic view of your health, observing and evaluating the body as a whole, not just a specific injury. This allows us to help you not just fix what hurts and cover up the symptoms, but to identify and directly address the cause of the problem.

Doctor of Physical therapy

Dr. Ryan Goodell, PT, DPT, CSCS

Dr. Ryan Goodell, PT, DPT, is a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in treatment of sport and tactical athletes with a focus on orthopedics and spine rehabilitation. Dr. Ryan has been practicing as a physical therapist for 6 years and began Resurgence Physical Therapy in 2018.

While attending SUNY Buffalo, Dr. Ryan earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees.

During Dr. Ryan’s time as an undergraduate, he was a member of the Division 1 baseball program and completed internships with the collegiate strength and conditioning program and athletic training departments. While playing baseball at SUNY Buffalo, Dr. Ryan underwent Tommy John (ulnar collateral ligament) surgery, which gave him an appreciation for physical therapy and the impact it can have on recovery. This experience helped shape his treatment approach with patients today, placing an emphasis on one-on-one care, education about the patient’s condition, and empowering patients to take charge of their health.

Dr. Ryan is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), through which he is a member of the orthopedic, sports, and private practice sections. He is also a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), from which he holds a certificate as a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS).
